Bonjour!

It's Sunday night in Paris, and we've just figured out how to create a blog.  Our hope is that we will use this as a way to keep in touch with friends and family while we're away.  We would like to share some of our experiences and pictures with you.  For example, today we ventured out to the Marché Raspail (the weekly organic market in Paris).  Here are a few glimpses of what we saw, bought, and later ate.






This final photo shows one of the highlights-- a delicious potato pancake.  Who knew that "galette de pomme de terre" translates as "latke"?

    Fabulous idea to keep a blog, you two. What a perfect way to keep us all abreast of your adventure. The photos were beautiful and those latkes looked good enough to devour. Can't help but notice the wool caps, heavy coats, and steam - guessing it's as cold there as it is here? Eager for more!

    Bonjour! Votre poste est parfait! That's about the extent of my poor French. Love thhe blog, especially the photos. You're doing great! Hope I can stop in sometime perhaps on my return from Israel (not yet scheduled).

    Goodness...I just figured out how to get to the post about Oscar. That big rascal he is really
    quite the guy. Love the shot of him awaiting his belly rubs! The noises he makes when he sleeps may be his dreams of getting the smaller little doggies in line :)
